Mumbai Metro Line 3

A new line from north to south is being constructed in the city of Mumbai. The two single track tunnels will have a length of 33.5 km and will entirely be equipped with LVT. Due to size constraints and elevated noise and vibration requirements, Sonneville designed a custom-made support, shorter and wider than a standard LVT support.

The concrete blocks will be manufactured at site in Mumbai by the general contractor Larsen & Toubro. Sonneville will provide the around 200’000 rubber boots and LVT pads for the supports and is responsible for the design checking.
